The Dalinset affix was established in 1975 and we have been actively involved with Italian Greyhounds since 1997.

Our First IG was Giorgio – Fishersmead Pipit at Dalinset (1 RCC) to whom we sadly said goodbye in August 2011 at the age of 14 years.
In 1998 he was joined by Rosina – Clayburn Blue Rose of Dalinset.

We now have 12 Italians, 7 of which are homebred.  All our IGs live, and our puppies are reared, in the home and have enriched our lives in so many ways.  We have been delighted with our many successes in the show ring.  Giorgio gained his stud book number in 2000 with a Reserve Challenge Certificate.

Our first Champion – Santo – Ch. Hanjy Helation at Dalinset, has 9 CCs (including Dog CC at Crufts 2001 and BIS at the Italian Greyhound Club Ch Show 2003) 4 BOB 5 Res CCs and a Group 4.  Sadly we said goodbye to Santo in September 2012 at the age of 13.

Giorgio and Rosina’s Daughter Stella – Dalinset Star of the Morning – born 2000, also did very well winning 2 CCs including Best of Breed at Windsor 2002.

Santo and Rosina’s Daughter Luna -Dalinset Canzone alla Luna – born June 2002 had a very successful show career with 2CCs, 1BOB and 8 RCCs and was RBIS at the IGC Ch Show 2004. – she was very unfortunate missing out on her title being campained at the same time as the current breed record holder.
She had only 1 litter, in January 2007 producing Ch D. Canzonetta and Ch D Benedetta.  On the basis of their wins in 2009 she was TOP BROOD BITCH 2009 in ther Dog World Competition

We welcomed in 2003 Artmeis Christopher Robin at Dalinset from Jo Amsel (Artmeis) who was an interesting combination of US bloodlines, being sired by Multi Ch Necku Stradivarius (Finland).  Despite only having been lightly shown he gained his stud book number in 2004 winning an RCC.

In 2004 Stella was mated to the lovely dog Hestia Nemo by Myroak – a useful combination of UK, SA and US bloodlines.

This mating produced out beautiful first homebred champion Ch Dalinset Dorabella.  Dora gained her stud book entry at only 6 months of age winning a RCC and went on to gain her title at only 23 months old.  She currently has 8CCs, 7 BOB and 5 RCCs.

The following year we seized the opportunity to welcome Bertie; Ch Artmeis Chierichetto at Dalinset from Jo Amsel.  He is out of the US import Artmeis Scintilla di La Scala (Bred by Lilian Barber – CA, USA) and by Artmeis Fly By Night. And is a mix of UK, SA and US breeding.  He has 4CCs, 2 BOBs and 3 RCCs.

We again Chose Nemo to sire our next litter in 2007 this time from Luna.   This was another successful mating producing the lovely sisters Gloria and Angela.

Angela ( Ch. Dalinset Benedetta)  has 3CCs all with BoB (August SKC 2008 and Birmingham National 2009 and Leeds 2009 where she was also group 4) and has almost without exception been placed first in her Championship show classes.

Gloria (Ch Dalinset Canzonetta) has enjoyed some really spectacular wins even though she is only 2 years old.  She won her first CC and BoB at Windsor 2008  under Annette Oliver-Wyles and went on to win BEST IN TOY GROUP under bryan Mitchell – a real day to remember.  Despite only being relatively lightly shown in 2008 she soon gained her title at Driffield and currently has 10CCs; 9 with BoB and 4 Res CCs.  She ended 2008 as the TOP WINNING ITALIAN GREYHOUND 2008 and went on to win BEST OF BREED at CRUFTS 2009 under Helen Lister (Florita), and RBIS at the Italian Greyhound CLub Ch Show 2009 under judge Julia Smith (Narrabo) as well as toy group 4 at WELKS 2009.

The many wins of Gloria, Angela, and Dora during 2008 Secured for us the title of TOP ITALIAN GREYHOUND BREEDERS 2008, as well as the award of TOP STUD DOG 2008for their sire – Nemo.
